In 1978, MIT developed a system that allowed users to take a virtual tour of Aspen, Colorado. Today, travel is no longer limited to a pre-existing physical destination. With the Metaverse, the possibilities are endless as new worlds are created every day. The Metaverse represents the future of travel, and as the medium grows and improves, this title offers a unique immersion into this revolutionary frontier through a selection of visuals related to and inspired by the Metaverse, ranging from fashion to architecture, from hardware to conceptual design - a glimpse of what's to come.

To coincide with the launch of this new travel volume, Assouline is pleased to announce an exclusive pop-up store in the Metaverse, which will open in February 2023 and be accessible throughout the year. Readers will be able to scan a QR code located on the colorful cover and be directed to Assouline's storefront in Decentraland. The experience will reflect an in-person Assouline boutique with key elements such as the brand's signature red walls, grandiose book kiosks and specialty items. Visitors will be able to explore Assouline titles and will be redirected to the Assouline website for purchase if interested. In this space, visitors will also have the opportunity to be redirected to FastEx Verse and have access to an exclusive bonus experience. Designed as a museum of the Metaverse, this virtual meeting will feature educational content, illustrations from the book as well as other images from the Metaverse. Assouline is excited to share this unique interaction with our customers around the world.
