Suede is the reverse side of bovine leather that is sanded to give it a soft and supple appearance. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul. It is tanned in Brazil without dangerous or banned chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations. The use of water is reasonable during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with water-repellent oils without PFCs (chemical compounds) to protect the sneakers against light rain.
